21 Additional (fun) (sort of weird) Reasons to Elope
So, maybe you are considering eloping. Maybe you have almost decided to just go for it. Maybe you thought about having a traditional wedding, and came up with a list of reasons to elope instead.
Here are some non traditional, super fun, maybe you didn't think of these already, additional reasons to add to that list. Because eloping is really FUN! And if you did already think of them, than sweet! Let's get started turning those ideas into your dream wedding day!
1. You want your first dance to be on a secluded tropical beach as the sun sinks behind the horizon so that you're dancing on top of the sky reflected in the sand.
2. You want to scream your I Do's from the top of a mountain as loud as you can.
3. You want your altar to be a 2000 year old Redwood tree decorated with wild California poppies.
4. Maybe your partner told you they wanted to elope. And you don’t really care how you get married, you just love them and want to marry them wherever, whenever.
5. Or, as my husband put it, maybe "your wife made you".
6. You want stunning photos of your wedding day that aren't squished into a thirty minute window.
7. You want to say your vows on a surfboard and catch a wave in, instead of walking down an aisle.
8. You want to have a meaningful roadtrip wedding to take photos where you first met, have your kiss where you had your first kiss, exchange vows where you first said I love you, have your first dance in the bar where you first got too drunk.
9. You want to spend your wedding night sleeping under the Milky Way alone somewhere lost with just the person you love most.
